Landing A Job On Wall Street

5 Tips for an appealing Cover Letter

  1. Do your research on the company. In this informational age that we live in, it is almost unacceptable not to know who the hiring person is. Make sure to know who you are addressing the letter to. Gone are the days when your cover letter begins with: “To Whom It May Concern”. Include the recruiters’ name, position and company address in your letter.
  2. Make it brief. Rule of thumb is to only use one page, and three paragraphs. You will have plenty of room in your resume to elaborate on your skills.
First paragraph – address the need of the company and your ability to fulfill that need.
Second paragraph – highlight the strengths that you can contribute to solve their problem of filling in the position
Third paragraph – conclude with an open ended expectation from them based on the solution you have provided.
  3. Make it concise. You may need to read and re-read your letter in order to weed out unnecessary descriptions and sentences. Stick to the most important and current skill that you believe the company is looking for.
  4. Make it comprehensive. Highlight the strengths you have not you.It is ironic, but the company is actually looking for the skill you have. Avoid over-using pronouns such as “my, me, I and mine”. Be objective in your sentences.
  5. Use descriptive and powerful words. Since you may only be using less than two hundred words, it is important that your sentences express quality that results in instilling curiosity from the reader. You may need to edit and proofread your letter more than a couple times over. Feel free to change your sentence structure to accommodate this goal.

Dental Assistant Cover Letter

This is a very important part of your application so do not fail to include it. Be sure to show professionalism with a dab of personal touch as well. You want to express your strength your work skills as well as your people skills. It should present both of your sides. It is critical that you leave a good impression to your prospective employer. If you learned about the vacancy through a paid ad, mention that need on the first paragraph. If you make it longer than that, then you will lose to spark any interest at all to any recruiter. Below are a couple of samples that you can learn from or something that you can customize depending on the skills and experiences that you have had. Good luck !

Teacher  Cover Letter

Since there are different types of jobs for teachers ranging from the areas of pre-school to graduate school in the university, it is imperative that you design the cover as specific as possible on the particular roles and job description that the position calls for . This letter as actually allowed to have more than paragraphs as recruiters are more than willing to look into the details of what you have got to offer that school or academy. Paragraphs with bullet points would catch the attention and gives a break on somewhat of the monotonous theme of the letter. Do not overdo it though, but put only what is necessary to spark that curiosity for the reader and would right away open up your resume as a result of it. The sample below is a generic one which would give you an idea of how you can create your own and give it more of a customized and specific rendition to match the job opening that you are applying for.
